Churwell CIC provides a range of childcare and early years education services through its PLAY@Churwell setting.

Our mission is to support children to develop and achieve their potential. Children are life-long learners, are naturally curious and full of knowledge. We strengthen this by providing an enriching environment which challenges and extends learning and development through exploration of the world around us.

We have an outdoor learning area with a den, mud kitchen and lots of stimulating activities. We make use of the local environment with regular forest school sessions in the local park and for walks in the local community.

• Our Caterpillars Room offers 12 places for under 2 year olds.
• The Ladybirds Room offers 24 places for 2-3 year olds.
• The Fireflies Room offers 32 places for 3-4 year olds

We offer full time or sessional places either term time only or all year round. We offer funded places under the Working Families Entitlement Scheme for children aged 9 month and over. We also offer funded places for eligible 2 year olds and the universal offer for 3-4 year olds. See the Free Early Education page for more information.

We have a nursery chef preparing our meat free menu and helping the children with cooking skills.
